We had just stepped off the elevator onto the 15th (top) floor of the Manila Hotel on Friday when we were greeted by this on the big screen TV. All froze, then slowly, as if a single unit, we turned and gazed out at the tranquil Manila Bay. The threat of a tsunami immediately rushed into our consciousness. Our thoughtful hosts were quick to reassure us that we were very safe and all was well in our location.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with those affected as we follow developments closely.
