Tattoos and Sunsets

On day two in Boracay I decided I definitely needed to get a tattoo. How can one come to the South Pacific and not get a tattoo?! I mean this is basically the birth place of tattoos, right? So while some of the girls were getting mani-pedis on the beach, I strolled along until I found a tattoo artist who seemed trustworthy. By trustworthy, I mean he had full sleeves and blond spiky hair. Perfect. For those of you now going into mild panic - it was only a henna tattoo. It will wash off in about 2-4 weeks. Although, my tattoo artist told me if I stop bathing altogether, it will be a permanent tattoo. Hmmm tempting. . . Joke. Oh, and apparently I twisted Cindy's arm into getting one as well. Although as I remember it, I said: "I'm gonna get a henna tattoo" and Cindy said, "Oh okay, if you insist, I'll get one too." It must have been my Jedi mind tricks, because next thing I knew she was getting a fish tattooed on her shoulder. Content with our new tats, we sat on the beach that evening and watched the sun setting over the South China Sea.
